Memories Frozen in Time with 3CDC

We love gliding our way into the holidays every year with the UC Health Ice Rink project for 3CDC, a non-profit real estate development and finance organization in Cincinnati’s urban core. In fact, this is our ninth year helping the team manage, print and install the sponsorship graphics surrounding the walls of the ice rink and in and around the city’s Fountain Square.

The Ice Rink is open to the public from the end of October through the end of February, but the extensive planning process for this frozen wonderland typically starts in the summer. Prepping and stripping each panel for the new season starts the process for a clean install later in the year. Over the next four months, the Crux team works on managing and preparing the panel artwork through an interactive spreadsheet. This streamlined process, created by the Crux team, allows sponsors to send and approve artwork proofs instantaneously, saving time and resources throughout the project. Once all 40 dasher panels are carefully printed, laminated and trimmed by the Crux team, they are ready for installation.

“Our install team spends approximately one week at Fountain Square every October,” said Adam Coffaro, President. “Attention to detail is critical in what’s usually a quick turnaround time from when the Ice Rink is constructed to when all 40 dasher panels must be installed – usually about three to four days. After nine years, we’re a well-oiled and efficient team.”

Our entire team takes great pride in managing and installing the graphics for this cherished winter treasure that brings so much holiday joy, traditions and memories.
